79 days. Meaning “little raisin,” these Mexican, 7 to 9-in. long fruits with thin walls start dark green before wrinkling and turning dark chocolate when mature. Mostly used in Mexican molé sauces, but also to add a rich, smoky flavor to dishes like enchiladas. Very mild at only about 250 Scoville units.
